netbook reflection 2012

This year it's been cool having a netbook. It is easier to write because I can type faster. My favourite is to create presentations for maths. I created 3 dimension and 2 dimension presentations for my blog. I like visiting new websites when we start a new topic.

It's been interesting learning how to use our Google doc. Also blogging about our learning using web app like popplet and wordle.

About Me

Then we wrote a personal profile for our blog.

Hi my name is Jonive and I enjoy playing rugby and touch rugby. My favourite subject is maths. I enjoy maths because I can solve more problems. My favourite music is Skrillex.  

Flag Meaning

My flag represents our school because of the hibiscus flower which represents our Pacific nations.The hill and the sand represents the land around our beautiful school.  The blue represents the sea around Aotearoa.The shark inside the sea stands for protection and on its tail the peace sign is because we like our school and community to be a peaceful place. The shark fin is  shaped like a silver fern which is a popular symbol of New Zealand.

The Epic Fail

As Jonive hovered on the edge of the ramp, he looked down at the huge jump below  All around him desert winds were gusting and hot. He started the engine and that’s when the nerves started to take over. It was going to be the favorite day of his life but then it all turned out as a total disaster.
Jonive went down the ramp and went to do a back-flip but he fell off his bike and smashed onto the dusty dirt ground.

Then he tried it one more time and then it started to work then the bike flipped over him and Jonive was holding onto the handlebars with his legs. He crashed onto the ground and the bike was on top of him.

The ambulance came and took him to hospital. He broke his legs and his arm but the doctor said he could still try his jump when he got better.
